A little Pre Easter Fun!

Well it has definatly been a few years since I made any attempt of taking Easter Themed Photos of any of my kids but I couldn't resist the thought of My Darling Daughter with a pair of ears and a cute outfit, chomping on dear old Easter Bunny .....Whoops I mean a Chocolate Dear Old Easter Bunny .........LOL As much as I thought it would be a great idea it was also a messy adventure ...but all in all I was extremly happy with the fun results!!! A memorable moment for sure !

Sun Flare Challenge / iheart faces

Well here is my entry for the Sun Flare Challenge over at iheartfaces . I took this picture last spring of my daughter. It was my first real try taking photo's in direct sunlight where I was intentionally trying to get the sun flare effect and the beams of light. She's such a little trooper cause it was very cold that day. I told her to dance around to get warm and so this is the product !

New Studio Location

So I have been using my new home that we have not yet moved into as my studio space for now. I will however be converting part of one of the Garages into an actual studio, once I get moved in and settled, amoungst all the kaos and confusion that will be going on...... A quick photo of my new house ........ I do not like to do alot of indoor photography with lighting but there is a must for it in winter months and with small children so I feel the need to have it in order to meet the demand from my customers. My new studio location is located at #27 Concession 6 Bruce Township on the corner of Bruce Road 1 just north of Glammis and South of Paisley !!! Come pay a visit after June 2009 and see the new place !

Winter is still here .....YUK!

Well after the infamous Wiarton Willies prediction of there being another 6 weeks of winter...I decided I might as well embrace it and go. The past couple morning have been quite chillyand I have saw some pretty neat sights. From the way frost finds itself clinging to objects around our yard to the Rainbow around the sun I saw on my way to town the other morning. Iknow winter affords stormy days and tonnes of the stuff you have to shovel ...but I do admit that there are some things out there that make winter beautiful. I am a non-lover of winter, I hate driving in the white stuff...I hate shoveling the white stuff...I hate how my kids track the white stuff in! All in all it's terrible stuff...but you just can't help think after seeing these things that it's not all the bad maybe after all.....You be the judge!

Winter Blahs

I always find these months Jan /Feb to be a blah filled months. Very little sun and snow ....yuk! With that my creativeness sometime gets the blah's right along with the weather. Although I should be loving the crisp new fallen snow on our beautiful landscape I just can't some days! Other days when the sun peeks out I get filled with a vibrance and the urge to grab the Nikon and go shoot some pics. Lately when the sun has been out it has been so brutally cold and windy that I can't bring myself about to go outside and shoot what would be beautiful "Winter Wonderland Photo's ." Over the past few days I have had the opportunity however to catch a couple good shots, Which I will share here. Here's hoping winter doesn't stick around too long!

After Christmas Fun!

My daughter got a really cute little gift from her Great Aunt & Great Uncle and we just had to utilize it.....I couldn't resist! The cutest little pink Cook's hat and apron. So we decided it was definatly a must photograph. At first she was all into it! Then it was the wild side of her then it was the hungry side of her and then it was the grumpy side of her! What a mixed barrel of expressions! Here are a few from that little session!

Christmas Eve!

Well here it is Christmas Eve for another year. It is a time of bussle and preparing for the big tomorrow. I find it so hard this year to get in the spirit of things. I am hoping that Christmas morning sitting back with Camera in hand watching the kids open their Gifts will get me in the spirit of things! But for today we will work away at the last minute things and soak in the moments of sanity before morning breaks! Till then ! :)

Christmas Crafts for Family

Every year I usually get my kids together to make crafts as gifts for their granparents and other family members. This year my boys were not home when my daughter and I started making things. I used the crafts this year as a reward for my daughter for getting her first Haircut without to much of a hassle. It was so cute the precision that she used while painting. She quickly realized that if you mix all the pretty colours together they make black and she was careful to try on her second craft to wash the brush each time before dipping into a new colour. Unfortunatly in the end her lack of paitience got the best of her and everything turned out black and grey with the odd hint of colour. With age comes paintence. Just wanted to share a few of the photo's that I took to remember that moment! They are some of my favorites so far this month.

Busy Christmas Season

Well is has indefinatly been a busy couple months. All the preperation that you put into planning your Christmas Sessions with people only to have confusion with some of the merchandise. This year I was extremely not happy with my some of my suppliers so it's a mental note for next year to insure that I don't have this problem again! I do have say to all my Customers ..Regulars and New that next year I will have to up some of my prices to accomodate a more reliable source for my Christmas cards. The benifit to this besides the obvious is that there will be more templates to choose from! Here are a couple of photo's from the Christmas Season.

Wedding Season 2008

Been Awhile Since Posting

It has been awhile since I took the time to post some pictures on here. Spring is arriving and I am looking forward to getting back outdoors again having some fun with some photo's! I find it challenging by the end of winter to do original indoor photo's. With sping comes the nicer weather which also brings my favorite thing......weddings! This year I have 4 to attend and photograph the first being the May 24th weekend and likly the most open and creative one of the year! I look ever so forward to that ! At any rate here are a couple indoors photo's of my daughter that I am working with !

Having Fun With Teddy Bears!

It was stormy day today so we decided to have some fun with bears.........Sarah thought it was ok for a few minutes but not to long. The bears were more easy to deal with and sat just the way I wanted them too..........STILL! LOL Anyway a neat little concept for kids ....Thought I would share!

Decided it was time to practice with those lights again!

I decided today was a good day to try out my lights again. You never can get enough practice. I asked my oldest to sit for me for a little as he hasn't done any photo's is awhile....he obliged.....but of course had to do some silly ones at the end.....My daughter got up just in time for me to try some with her too...here are a couple I thought were particularly favorites!

Amazing Winter Photo's from Today

These photo's were amazing....I couldn't believe how well they captured that percise moment when I took them .....It was very cold and windy and starting to snow! They sky colour changed as you changed the direction in which you shot from! IT WAS TOTALY AMAZING!

One of The Sweetest parts of a Family

This morning as I watch my family spending quality time with each other, I couldn't help take my camera and try to preserve some of the memories before the kids are too old to share these moments with their dad. I share them here for all to see. There is no sweeter thing then love!

A New Pic

I thought that I would upload the most recent photo that I have taken .....I just wish she had of smiled alot more then she did.....I have to admit though a friend said it was a great depiction of having to do something that you don't always want to do! I have to agree she is definatly showing that in life you aren't always HAPPY!
